Most receivers have the option to emulate surround sound from a stereo source of audio, but it's never the same as true surround. That said, one huge bonus of ATTTVN over YouTube TV is that ATTTVN supports Dolby Digital audio, meaning if you have a surround sound system, it will benefit from that. Not sure i could get behind that as a new subscriber. The middle package they're offering now is less channels for more money. Now my package is $75/mo with HBO for $5/mo, and it has been stuck there ever since (hopefully it stays there!). Then I was grandfathered in when it switched to ATT&T. The package price slowly went up over the months, up to $75. The Just Right (middle) package back then was initially $50/month, and HBO was a $15/mo add-on. Given that he already pays for HBO and still wants hbo, the $80 max plan would work for him.Ī) how does the system work now? Is it still riddled with bugs or does it relatively work as expected?ī) is my assumption correct that it will work similar to YouTube tv when traveling to other markets? Like if he buys a firestick or a Roku and sticks it in his second home, he will get access to that areas locals.and when using at his primary home he'll get access to that homes locals? I checked and both areas locals ARE available in AT&T TV Now.Ĭ) are there any limitations I need to know about.similar to Hulu live TV home network limitations that prevent you from streaming to a "living room device" when outside of your home network? After periods of time do devices need to be checked into his primary area? Or as long as his account checks in to the primary area from time to time it would work without issue? (I couldn't imagine him spending more then a week or 2 away from his primary home area at a time).ĪTTTVN has been my primary since April 2018, when it was called DirecTV Now. I know AT&T TV now offers this channel (both homes are in the Lakers regional sports network markets and the zips for both do show spectrum sports net as being available in that area). He wants to move from spectrum cable to streaming to be able to do the same thing, but there's one caviot.he's a HUGE Lakers fan and cannot live without spectrum sports net.which instantly makes YouTube TV not an option. I have a friend who is planning on buying his second house. I have 2 houses.and YouTube tv is a great option for us to be able to get tv in both houses without having 2 cable plans.
